One of the best things about the contemporary prevalence of digital cameras is that underground scenes get to leave behind a visual record. Till the late Nineties, it was very hard to find much video footage of fringe scenes/nightlife. Even the rave scene barely has much. (Of course, older scenes suffered even more. Even the relatively-mainstream (sub-)cultures of 1920s have left very little behind, though politics had more to do with that than technology.)

To me, one of the great losses represented by this has been the dearth of footage of all the great dance styles. With only rare exceptions, we are left with only memories of them. The video below, of Eric of Liquid Pop Collective (LPC), is one such gem. It is liquid dancing, at its best.
