Just now, I saw a BBC report about an Israeli band entering the Eurovision song contest with a song titled, “Push the Button.” It was directed at Iran! The report ended with the typical editorial pause of the BBC anchorwoman who, this time, smiled amused.
First they lie about Ahmadinejad’s statement—which assured that, as with the USSR and with Iran’s Shah, Israel “will disappear from the pages of time”—and then they use that lie to push for further suffering of seventy million people. Their own murders, invasions, and now calls for nuclear annihilation, pass quietly.
… Grim, and grinning, cynicism!
But can you really blame them? When their populace is so easily led to passively observe—and effectively, if not tacitly, approve—yet another slaughter, can one expect otherwise? Evil does its work … when everyone else stays silent.
